AbstractA new optional course, Electric Vehicle Technology, for final-year electrical engineering undergraduate students is presented. The purpose is to provide the students with up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on electric vehicle technology. This paper outlines the rationale of the course, as well as describing the course structure, reference materials, field demonstrations, course work and course evaluation.
