Biography
Ray Su is associate professor in structural engineering at the University of Hong Kong. His current research interests lie in the development of new theories suitable for strengthening concrete components using external steel plates, the seismic assessment of concrete and masonry structures by the coefficient-based method, and the evaluation of fracture properties of concrete and graphite using new inverse techniques. He has authored and co-authored more than 100 journal papers and 70 conference papers. He is an editorial panel member for the Journal of Applied Mathematics, Structural Engineering and Mechanics, Open Construction and Building Technology Journal, etc. He is a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers as well as a chief examiner of the Structural Discipline of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.
