Professor Shi, Shuai 師帥
Dr. Alex Shi is an Assistant Professor in urban economics of the Department of Real Estate & Construction, The University of Hong Kong. He was a post-doc researcher of the department during 2018 – 2020. He is a member fellow of Regional Studies Association. His primary research fields are urban economics and economic geography. His research interests focus on urban and regional economic growth, city region planning, urban financial landscape, inter-city investment networks, urban entrepreneurship and housing market’s spatial spillovers. He is specialized at spatial econometric models, social network analysis and GIS skills in order to unravel the underlying spatial mechanism of urban economic activities. Following these lines, he intends to shed light on an emergent networked agglomeration economy through investigating the interplay between mobile network resources and immobile local assets.
