Abstract | Hepatic venous outflow obstruction (HVOO) is a rare but serious complication after liver transplantation, particularly pediatric living donor liver transplantation (LDLT). The reported incidence is up to 10%.(1) It may lead to graft dysfunction and even failure if left untreated. Commonly reported causes of HVOO include tight suture line, twisting of the anastomosis due to inappropriate graft positioning or regeneration, size discrepancy between native venous orifice and graft hepatic vein opening, and peri‐anastomotic fibrosis secondary to inflammation. |
