| Abstract | Dr. Xiao Zhang is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong. His research is devoted to understanding young children’s academic and socioemotional learning. He received his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Hong Kong and his post-doctoral training in Developmental and Educational Psychology from the University of Jyväskylä. His research has been funded by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council. He published over 40 journal papers in the areas of early childhood development, learning, and education. His recent work on mathematics learning appears in the leading journals such as Child Development, Developmental Psychology, and Learning and Instruction. |
