AbstractLEARNING OBJECTIVES: 1. Recognize the feasibility of an advocacy intervention to improve mental health of abused Chinese women. 2. Understand the skills needed to promote the mental health of abused Chinese women in a community setting . DESCRIPTION: Intimate partner violence is a prevalent public health problem with negative health consequences for survivors. Although advocacy interventions are designed to facilitate the empowerment of the survivors, there are conflicting findings about the efficacy of such interventions. This study is to test the efficacy of an advocacy intervention for Chinese women with a history of intimate partner violence in a community setting.
